Hmm. Didn't watch it. Don't usually. But it's not a problem unique to this show.. I was channel surfing and see a nice '68 Mustang being loaded into a crusher. Why? For a Shakira video. And let's not forget the rough around the edges '56 Caddy 2dr hardtop they crushed a while back for a shoe commercial - the point of the commercial, to make room for shoes. The lady in this drives it to the junkyard. MG does stupid stuff like this for shock value, it's not really worth my time to pay much attention to.
i don't think this episode was a PR stunt to make up for the Anglia. i think iit was pretty cool that they let some kids who are less fortunate build something that they'd never get to do. i wish i had the opportunity. this was a good episode, the part at the end where the guy burns some rubber was funny. the only part i didn't like was them saying "rat rod" over and over. you all need to look at it as entertainment because it's nothing more than that. i can bet that if anyone of you were offered the same deal as JJ you'd take it, i know i would. there is always that on/off switch at the top of the remote!
Wrong. (Sorry, Skip...saw your response after I type this.) Anyway, Connie don't need no help "fielding" cars. He needs help getting Scott down the line!
Jason, the "third" building behind the two frontage ones. It housed MG candidates and production equipment.
That was Outlaws '51 and Alleycat's '56 at the "cruise night" the showed the car at, at the end. Guess they're famous now.
Worse than that. They are planning on tearing down the original Long Beach Packard Dealership building. They used the front of the show room in the open scenes of "Seabiscuit" for the Bike shop. The Monster Garage was in the Service department part of the dealership. It was a beautiful building with a giant staircase in the showroom going up to a second floor balcony and offices. It looked like the lobby of a big old theatre in Hollywood. It even has a "bell tower".
i enjoyed the show,it was pretty good, and teh car ended up lookin great after a wile, would of like to see more of the burn out that one kid was doin but he stopped right away. i ha da blast watchin it. i thought it was all over when the fire started. but luckily it all worked out.
f*&k ,like long beach needs more condos, they just built the ones on pine and 4th not to long ago an dthe ones on ocean, not to mention the smaller ones here and their. just more traffic i have to deal with.
I knew today I would logon and see the words "Monster Garage" again on the HAMB with some bitching to follow. What's even more rediculous is some of you are still bitching about the Anglia. Drama = boring. This post will become Drama in T-minus....
i agree, housing needs to be put on hold for awhile. any piece of land they can fit a house or 2 on they'll build on it... fuckin shame!
