Well right now here in Pa. it snowing like hell ! We are suppose to get 2" to 3" then good fun freezing rain till it warms up enough for it to turn over to sloppy rain later on today sometime ! OH so much fun and it's 29 out side right now !
Well it does look nice coming down out by the lights at the driveway but I am already tired if this **** !

So how is it in your neck of this country ?

Don't. Want. to. Talk. About it.

Tomorrow we'll either get ice, snow, or rain. They haven't decided yet. So far we've gotten tons of snow, which makes my life hell.

Well its not so great here in AZ either... 70 degree weather and sunny all day long! Just took my car out today for the first big drive. Drove it to the dmv but they were closed. I completely forgot it was a holiday. But it was nice to enjoy the drive in the great weather! Sorry to hear about all the snow/ice? That's really ****y.

Well I'm not even gonna try going to work this morning. Got up at 3:00, looked outside - it was all shiney out there (ice)! Looks like it's gonna be ****py weather in lower Michigan all day.
Nothing critical enough at work today to risk the 60 mile commute.

Fog just rerouted my flight home to Oakland Ca. Now a bus ride to Sonoma County. Not as bad as snow and ice though.

I was in San Bernardino today and it was about 84 degrees. It was pretty hot in the sun sitting on black interior without an air conditioner.

Sounds like a lot of you are having really nice weather . Here on the East coast we are getting either snow or freezing rain or rain every other day now and it's cold here too ! this really ****s .
Last night it was snowing very heavy and got about 3" then turned to freezing rain .Then stopped long enough to get my house and my mother in laws house across the street cleaned up as well . Man I am sore and backs hurting real good .
Now it's raining again and cold so who the hell knows what I will wake up to in the morning ! Then suppose to get very cold again this week again . I have gotten my chimney to my wood stove hooked up and through the wall of the garage but with the snow and freezing rain I can get the last piece put on so I can heat the garage ! I have to use my alum . ladder to get the last 2.5 feet put up so I can get some heat in the garage so I can build my engine and get that installed with the C4 . I have the other engine and trans sold and need that out like very soon !

Please GOD give us some warmer weather so I can get my wood stove hooked up so I can build my car ?

Well I finally got the wood stove up and working today ! This was the first warn day about freezing in a long tome so it was today or never . My garage isn't insulated because I couldn't afford it but at least the wood stove helps some so I can get some work done . Then when the weather warms up in a couple months I can get the filler on where needed from welding and then primer . Then the engine gets put back together and bolted to the trans for test fit . I will be very happy to be able to work on my car again ! At least I won't freeze to death but still chilly . I can deal with that and I can alway sit near the stove to warm up when I need to .
We have another snow storm coming tomorrow and more next week .

Well scratch my decent weather comment above, we are supposed to get 2-3 inches of snow/sleet starting around noon today. WTF? I am OVER it. This is west TN, I think the weather is confused as to where it should be.

I feel for you guys. I grew up in central Oklahoma and Northern Texas. We had mostly ice and sleet, but sometimes it snowed too. Either way I would rather live in a warm climate all year around.

I'm going over to a friend's shop on Friday, he's restoring an old pickup. He hired me about 38 or so years ago, I was 3 days out of the Air Force, he was a Parts Manager, didn't know me from Adam but hired me as a counterman at a Ford garage in the metro Detroit area. I still blame him for what we used to call "parts disease" (no cure for it).

But at 70+ he's still doing what he loves, spreading bondo (and BS), doing body work and some custom stuff. He still can't get over the look on the kids' faces in the parts stores when he asks for 30/70 body lead....

Anyway, high temp Friday supposed to be 12 degrees! Hope he has a fire going! I'm bringing coffee-and maybe a pint of blackberry 'antifreeze'? :)

While growing up in Maine, winter was for two things: looking for vintage tin and doing shop crawls.

The lack of vegitation made even well-hidden old cars visible, especially when outlined against snow. Club members kept a pretty good roster of "found tin" so that we could go back when it was warmer and either try to buy the best cars or harvest parts from the ones that were too far gone to resurrect.

As Ron mentions, visiting each other's shops and garages was pretty neat, but there usually wasn't much progress being made. None of us had much in the way of garage heat...a lot like some of the guys on this thread...so we'd huddle around the wood stove and collectively wish for warmer weather. Kept our enthusiasm and club spirit up, though.

I ***** about North Texas weather all the time, where building and driving slows down during the winter, but I'd never go North again to where it absolutely stops for months on end. Never, never again.

It damn snowing here again ! Another 2" to 5" of that damn white water again falling from the sky again ! Then over the weekend we are suppose to be in the lot to mid teens ..........for the daytime highs ! Then night time will be around 6 to 9 above . Damn cold weather ****s when it gets that low . Going too be like that for the next week then by it will get warmer . Going to get to the mid to upper 20's ! Damn I am really getting tired of this winter already . Seems like this whole country is getting it bad this year fir some damn reason . Places that never get snow or cold weather is getting it and places that get a little cold are getting pounded with the cold weather and snow .
Well I hope spring comes in early this year ! Would be nice to get out in the warm sunlight again and work on the cars !

Anyway stay warm and keep the pets inside too !

Well, not too bad here today, -8 at 0745 and a slight breeze. 2 deer bedded down behind the house, just inside the trees.

Don't think I'm going fishing today.
