This group seems to be almost dead. We need conversation and pictures about our COE's.

Have you been working on yours this winter? What have you done?

Do you have a question on how to do something that someone in the group can help with?

    Has the economy stalled you?

Do you need parts? Do you have parts for sale? There are threads for both in this social group.

    Lets get posting again.......................

I am installing a 41 Ford COE on a 84 Chevy van ch***is. I have made new side motor panels and have the floor completed. I installed the rear cab corners this week and Reinforced the top of the cab for sholder belts. Today I will figure out just where to drill the holes and mount them.
I am looking for a grille so that I can weld in the front cab corners. Does anyone know of one for sale? (41 to 47)
The removable panel over the windshield on the inside is also rotted, it would be nice to find one of those too.

Roger, When you can put a few photos on here so we can admire your work. Post a wanted note in that thread on this group. There is a guy on "Old Coe" that had to make a header for his coe you might like to check it out at:

    Okay Roger,
First post your pictures to some site like photobucket or in your own photo album here. Then:
If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.
To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing [IMG] after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.

I have an idea I am considering. The 39 GMC in my avatar was going to be an almost stock build. I wanted to get an early fifties Chevy COE to build a tow rig for a fifth wheel. One day my wife asked me why not build the truck I have into a hauler, so I have been doing some research and I think I might go ahead with this plan. The only thing is the cab is a little narrow. I saw a picture of a build where a cab was widened, so I think this is what I might do. I am waiting on some finances to get my shop built before I tear into it. Hopefully in the very near future. When I get to start the project I will begin posting so I can get your opinions and advice as I work on it. I would also like to put it on a late model chevy ch***is with a duramax.
