1952-59 Ford Jeff's information on his surgery and updates

As you all know our friend Jeff (JeffB2) had surgery today .
I got information from his granddaughter Amanda at 2.22 pm today and she will keep me informed as to how Jeff is doing and when he will be coming back home .
So it sounds like all of the prayers and thoughts we had really helped Jeff thought the surgery like we all knew he would ! I will kept everyone informed as to how Jeff is doing and when he will be coming home from the hospital .
Please continue to keep Jeff in your prayers and thoughts as he has a ways to go from the recovery .

*****This is Jeff's granddaughter, Amanda. I just wanted to let you know that the surgery went very well. The doctors are just s***ching him up and we'll be able to see him after they move him to the surgical floor. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Didn't hear anything today so I guessing Jeff is being good and staying out of trouble for now at least !

GOOD NEWS FOR EVERYONE TO READ FROM AMANDA !


Hi Jim,

I told him what you said about listening to the docs and he chuckled. Hopefully he will listen though. We saw him yesterday and the plan is to move him out of the ICU and onto the regular surgical floor today 2/27/11. Doctors are saying he is doing very well. He has a lot more color than he had on day 1. He loves his morphine ****on too, but it to be expected after this type of surgery. The nurses are helping sit in chairs and walking him around the unit to help wake up the bowels. Doctors are waiting to hear bowel sounds before allowing him to start eating. He's limited to a very small amounts of ice chips. Reading both your's and Ron's e-mail made him smile and laugh which was nice to see. It was nice to learn a little about you. Thanks.

I also copied all the great words and support that you all posted and sent them along to Amanda for her to read all of them to Jeff . Right now he is enjoying his Happy Shots of pain meds !
I want to thank all of you for all your thoughts and prayers and I will continue giving you all the great news and updates as I get them .

Thats awesome news! Those morphine ****ons are dangerous. I had one as a kid and I'm pretty sure I was addicted! Jeff, you rock man! Keep on keepin on!

Just wanted to let you know that Jeff is doing great. Still no bowel sounds but he's now able to eat jello and drink water and apple juice. They had to take away his morphine ****on this morning. He was getting a little too happy for his own good. They have him on another pain killer that has less side effects. He should hopefully come home by the end of this week. He's up and walking and is able to sit up and get out of bed now too. Things are looking really good for him.
