Just got the newest issue of Rod & Custom in the mail yesterday...could tell by the look on Postman Jim's face that it was a good one. Ah! The Ego-(Rama) results, at long last!!

I know there's been a ton of commotion over other entries, but I was damn pleased to see the fine feature on Cory Cummings' 47 Ford myself! The car looks positively clean and mean, and did a fine job representin' as the only car NOT running a small block Chevy or other assorted GM engine! The C4 suspension under a hulky Ford with EFI Henry Power made for a cool, original combination in a tastefully done ride!!

Congrats, Cory...LOVE your ride, Man!!

Not only is Cory's ride bitchen BUT him and his wife Judy are two of the nicest, most down to earth people I have ever meet. It was truely a pleasure to hang out with them for 7 days......and some evenings too.

Cory even "helped" us out by driving the '56 Olds back from the resturant one nite cuz Dad forgot his glasses and us girls thought we'd be killed if Dad drove back to the hotel. Lots of great times, lots of great memories.

In fact, I was just looking thru all the photo CD's that Cory sent me of the adventure and I came across this one of Cory and his lovely wife Judy so I thought I'd share it.

Cory, looking forward to getting together again in the very near future.

Thanks! I truly appreciate the kind words. Kevin Lee can work wonders with the camera. As the write-up indicates it was a blast and an education to put the car together with the help of my life-long buddy Phil Ferrarri. It was just as much of a blast and education to hang with the other HAMBERs and non-HAMBERs for a week and really put the cars through the paces. Everyone brought their A-game and everyone rose to the occassion. As I was putting the '47 together I would have never imagined that I would ever find myself punching out of a slalomn course at 40+ miles per hour into a 270 degree spin.

I can respond quicker and yell louder then honking my horn:D
I sent you an RRT PM thanking you for the CD's. I spent all day at work today looking at them all. It's great to see the same event thru someone elses camera. Thanks again for sending them. My folks got theirs as well. FYI: I added my folks photos on the CD that I sent you. Happy Holidays to you and Judy both.

No wonder insurance rates are so high!

Because I wanted to get to the Post Office before they closed on Saturday, I didn't take the time to include a note of explanation. The photos after Jim A's Dad's house were an old co-worker of ours who lives in San Pedro. The Slamed Riviera with the nailhead is his and the flamed El Camino is hers. They took us to Ricky and Ronnie's Drive-in in Torrance, which was used as a R&C Covershot several months ago. It was bike night. After that there are pictures of our friends new home in Pismo Beach where we stayed on the way home. It was awesome - just yards from the Ocean.

I appoligize. I assumed that with all the professional photos you take and review everyday you wouldn't want to hose through an amateur collection (though I must admit there are some cool ones in there). I'll get a set in the mail to you guys tommorrow. Thanks for asking:)
