Bendtsen's has recently released a COMPLETE Nailhead transmission bellhousing in addition to their pre-existing adapter kits. Their new bellhousing will fit ALL 57-66 Buick Nailhead Engines. It appears to be a very meticulously crafted piece and you can also get a clutch, fork and flywheel from them as well.

    Here's the link. http://www.transmissionadapters.com/Buick%20Bellhousing.htm

If you figure the bellhousing alone is $335
add a flywheel for another couple hundred bucks, clutch, pressure plate, shift fork, all the ***ociated little bits, it'll add up real quick..... You probably end up saving a few bucks over having to buy it all seperately....

aahhh.... on their website, it just shows the bellhousing by itself and the price was $1150.00. Makes sense if it said it came with all that.

I've said ti before, but here ya go again. Bendtsens is good people! And even better product.

Example: Savage and I did a group buy not long ago. They shipped to the seperate addy's, one to Houston, one to Socal. Well Savages didn't show. Got lost in the mail!!!! And these were prototype adapters!!!! No **** they made another "Prototype" and got it out to Savage. Once again good people.

Wonder if NW Speeds version will be as nice. Hope so. I'm waiting on mine...still. At least now I have an alternative if it doesn't show soon I can go to Bendtsens. I suppose the price is OK with all that gear and the peace of mind of a complete matching kit. Probably a bit pricey compared to NW's kit at $550 for the bell, pilot and flywheel. What's a clutch worth?

Seems like a great price to me, especially if your about to get ripped off by nwspeed. I thought you all had learned a lesson from that??

I was on their site checking this out and out of curiosity hit the "opinions" page. Ouch!!! Anybody else have a look at that? Those look like really nice pieces. A friend bought one of his kits for the Cadillac and was very impressed. Hopefully I'll get to check it out before he gets a trans bolted up to it.

That's is an awesome website, their stuff looks great and I don't think the pricing is bad, often you get what you pay for.

  15. Nothing to  about, the guy is simply stating fact. I've not ordered anything from those "other guys" but several of my friends have, hopefully they'll get thier stuff before things get ugly. You don't **** with my friends!

Wow!! Bob did not meantion this to me nor did he seem pissed at anyone. They way he worded it to me was Marty's setup was different to his. If NW speed copied his then how would it be a piece of ****? I dont understand that statement. IT is a free world and if there aint a patent then it is a free world. And this bellhousing says Speed Gems. Which must be a copy too. Just my opinion and you know what they say about that. I dont care as long as it shifts I will be happy. I just need it now to mock up motor mounts and ****** location

One of our compe***ors has just introduced a kit for the Buick Nail heads, which was copied from my kit. After they bought from me through another person, they claim that their kit is the highest quality kit on the market. I've seen their kit. It is a piece of **** copy of the highest quality kit on the market, MINE !! The people at * * Speed obviously aren't smart enough to develop the kit on their own. Copying my kit and calling it theirs is the lowest. They have no morals or ethics at all. I hope anyone thinking of buying one from them thinks about how they do business.

My kit is made from M1C6 Tool Plate that is water jetted, then CNC machined. The crank adapter is 12L14 Steel that is made on a CNC Lathe that is certified to .0004 accuracy. The flywheels are balanced on my own Stewart-Warner balancer. All my bolt hole locations are obtained from Buick blocks and cranks that I paid to have dimensioned on a CMM machine. These coordinates are kept in a cad/cam file on my computer. I didn't have to copy anyone. I developed this kit on my own. These people are thieves and liars !!

yep... I was too busy lookin at this page, which doesn't have a description of whats included. http://www.transmissionadapters.com/Pricing.htm

I clicked that link after seeing "364/401/425" and quickly grew uninterested, since I don't have one of those, just 322's. heh

I just spoke with Wilcap today, and they have an adapter for the 264/322. It's for a late GM auto trans, not stick, but still nice to know about. Price for the adapter was $425, and you have to use the stock Dynaflow flex plate, and torque converter cover (?), and starter.
Seems like a really nice option for us 322 guys!

I'll tell you what's gonna get ugly...when I blow by you and your BBC powered '53 Poncho...and then sporadically deliver my 315's internal parts all over 112th street...:)

So what's the story on NW Speed Equipment?

We're doing a nailhead for another HAMB'r (and friend) and we were going to give them a call.

Anybody else have (tried and true) sources for Nailhead parts?

I'm sorry I don't get a lot of time to cruise this site looking for posts but Bendstens is full of SH*T. I didn't copy his kit. Ask VonDanno on here. He was with me when we made the prototype.
