Major tornado outbreak in the south yesterday and last night. 190 killed in Alabama alone. Over 300,000 without power and my shop will be without power for up to a week. One of my best friends and car buddies took a direct hit and lost his house, garage, and his pride and joy 70 Dodge Challenger. He and his family were at work and school and are safe, but talked to him on the phone earlier and can tell he is overwhelmed.

Ill p*** along your thoughts and prayers. I was born and raised in Huntsville, my Dad worked his career long job at RSA and brother is out there now. Theyve got generators for essential services on the ****nal. The gas stations and grocery stores here just across the state line in Tennessee were swamped today with Alabamians.

We had the sirens going off at 5 am this morning in out very small town ! Was a rough nigh here in Pa right though rush hour !
We have had 2 close one near my house already this year and the first one my wife and I could hear ! And YES it does sound like a train building up speed coming down the tracks ! It's a sound very different from the rumble of thunder because it never stops the rumbling ! It just keep coming and getting louder and louder ! So far we have had 5 in the last few days and they are looking at other sites tomorrow ! We NEVER get tornado's where we live until last year !

My daughter and son in law was up for the weekend . They stopped over in Tenn at his brother house then leaves the next day early to go home . Wed. morning my daughter called my wife while they were on the highway and asked her to see if there were tornado's in the area because all the sudden the rain started dumping and the wind was real bad . They were down to 10 mph and couldn't see anything or a place to pull off . Then my daughter screamed because 2 trees cam flying across in front of them ! They then pull off at a gas station where the roof was just ripped off !
By the grace of GOD they did make it home safely !
BTW they live in Montgomery , ALABAMA ! Been a very bad spring season so far after the worst Tornado season ever with so many lives taken so far ! They are nothing to mess with , so PLEASE listen to the weather people and when you hear the warning , hide in the center of your house on the lowest level and cover yourself with a blanket if possible ! If in a mobile home get out and find a place to hide !
    Just be safe !

This last month has been bad for many Americans with the floods & tornados, winds and hail, may God bless them all and keep them safe. They say that May is usually the worst month we can only hope that we see less devastation that we have seen so far.I can only imagine how our troops in the middle east are worrying about there loved ones at home, maybe it's time to bring them home and put the billions we spend on countries that don't really want us there and use the money and man power here at home.

Alabama got the worst of it. Here in GA, the far northwest corner got tore up pretty good and there was one touch down about 30 mins up the road from us. Only thing we got was some rain and strong winds but not damaging. Glad to hear your Daughter and SIL made it home safe Jim. It heartbreaking hearing all the reports.

I was very , very grateful my daughter & her husband got home Wed. during those storms ! It was just raining then all of a sudden a tornado was right on them with no warning ! That's the scary thing about a tornado ! they just come down in a split seconds and mow down any and everything in it's path ! It's a Deadly Unstoppable Beast from Hell !

In Alabama they had over 200 tornado's in ONE day ! That was a new record and the most in history for one state in one day ! That's incredible and really horrible to think about ! This is just the start of the tornado season and I pray that is doesn't get any worst than that ! So much devastation in such a small are is unheard of !
The beautiful Mother Nature can really be down right scary at times !
Keep them all in our thought and prayers everyday along with our men and women over seas !
