Hi folks. I have been on the HAMB for several years. I thought I would wander over here to visit for a while. I am a card carrying geezer. Been messing with cars for well over 50 years, so I have some experience to share. My current ride is a 55 Ford sedan, my avitar is over on the Barn under my name, Ole Don. The car has had a home with us since 1996, and others may come and go, but the 55 will stay. Before that we had a 54 Vicky on the road for 11 years. I was the Bonneville Corespondent for the old Rodders Digest. The salt bug bit me hard. I will go back untill I am unable to drive. The 55 will be raced at least one more time in the 130 club at the USFRA meet. That is the most fun a geezer can have. Welcome Ole Don! Glad to see you come aboard,you have shared a lot of knowledge over on the Ford Barn for many moons and there are lots of great guys and gals here also to share with,enjoy the ride! How about getting a pic of your '55 for an avatar,one of the special things we do here is post an "avatar of the week" as a salute to our members.
I'll try the picture thing, but I feel much more at home with a handful of wrenches. I can type with two fingers, but computer talk has words not in my vocabulary.
Ole Don , Welcome to the best group on the HAMB ! I recognize your name from many of the posts I have read and posted on before ! We are a great bunch of guys trying to get our hotrods going and helping any and everyone along the way with some problems they run into as well ! Jim
