I was just looking through old photos and figured I'd share as I am planning on starting to work on this car again in the next couple of weeks.... This is the Bleedster...... as some of you will remember it is a roadster I started building 3 years ago...... damnit, 3 years ago. I haven't really touched it in two..... There has been confusion as lots of people refer to my green roadster as the Bleedster, but that was a misprint..... this is the one and only Bleedster. It all started 3 years ago when Max wedge started to collect parts for the H-Bomb.... and I bought this fucked up model a coupe for $200. The plan was for me to Help Aaron with his sedan and I was going to throw together this coupe turned roadster for less than $1000..... and in 60 days.... hahaha At the time Bleed(the band) took most of my time and I worked for my dad full time in the Body shop....... Me and Aaron were building the cars in this little side garage at the shop. It ruled we would make weekly updates on the Hamb and bust our ass every weekend we could...... some of the best times of my life.... Right around that time the Body shop got pretty slow, so I started hustling parts and building Hotrods...... now its all I do..... Hot rods have taken over the shop!!! haha Anyway, this is what I started with...... The goal was just to build a cheap Hot rod to sell, but I kept getting more involved and as I started to build more and more cars for customers, I wanted to build something for myself that really showed what I can do..... so the Bleedster went from being a cheap build, to what will hopefully be a mind blowing show rod....... we'll see. Fall 2002 I made my first ever frame and started the mock up..... ] You can see the H-Bomb in this shot....... thats before the chop when Aaron was kicking it east coast..... After a few weeks of screwing around I forund some neat parts and it finally started to take shape...... I had NO money (still don't haha), but alot of heart which forced me to be creative.....
So after a few weeks of chopping it rolled outside and it was exciting as hell.... The little car had great proportions....... it was around this time that I started to obsess over it....... I no longer wanted to build a quickie car, I wanted to build a show car....
Then it sat around for a few months until I got the body in primer for the Pile up...... this is what it looked like when it was at the Pile up 2003....
After the pile up I took it straight to the trim shop, where it sat for a few months...... then it got put into storage for most of 2004 while I built a bunch of other cars got engaged etc......... Finally last December I got the bug again..... only I decided to rebuild the entire car.... this time with an Olds engine and a new frame featuring the "Bleed Sweep" haha So I took it apart, thinking that I would get right on it, but that was a year ago....... A modified version of the origional frame turned into the fuzzbomb...... but again I got sidetracked with other stuff and getting married..... Anyway, its time, its finally time....... and I will be posting regular upadates again. So I figured I make this post to show where it came from to all the new dudes.... and reminess with the old dudes who remember it... So I've collected some special parts and will hopefully be tearing into it soon. I'm excited as hell. This is what it looked like the last day it was together......
haha littleman I'll race you for sure........ The dash is a 38 pontiac headlight with a 55 Pontiac speedo mounted in it... The lower part was from an olds, but I'm changing that.
Very interesting car. Thanks for showing up that cool little hotrod again, I think I have seen one photo somewhere before my joining the Hamb, maybe it was some magazine... Well anyway, I´m looking forward your updates, I really like your unique style! Mika
Really kool sh!t...I really dig the ceative ideas on that Roadster...But what happend to that badass lil Chopped T??

Christ!!! I need to come to your shop. Awesome photos Bob .thanx for sharing. I love that . . . . . . no snow . swaZZie
glad you're getting back on this thing bob!!! i loved this car when i saw it at the last pileup that was at drew's shop. what's the progress on the T-rantula? still got it?
Its always good to see a car being put together with thought and quality. Maybe it will cause a few others to rethink their "thrown together" rides and spend a little more time on the details. And chrome is always good. Can't wait to see what you have in store. is Detroit your goal?
I saw that car at the second Pileup when it was at Martys Body shop. I really liked it and wondered what happened to it. Glad to here you want to "Finish" it.
cool Bob, we all know how life's priorities rearrange plans for us glad you're back at it the car is awesome, your threads are very inspiring and you always have the coolest projects in the background! your shop looks like a fun place to work
