So i am almost ready to finish up my engine build and dropt it in the frame. i have been doing the work at my place of employment, along with keeping the parts in our storage container. so i come in today in a great mood for some reason. go to open up the container and the lock was cut off and most of my new parts are gone!!!! along with some other shop property. they stole my new hei distributor, new mini starter, new hedman headers, new trans pan and filter kit. they also stole two sets of stock wheels and tires of off a 2007 silverado, and a 07 yukon denali, ALSO a set of new take off honda crv wheels!!!!!! damn people who think they need to steal stuff. really.....c'mon, im sure they dont even know what parts they have and will either toss them or put them on ebay or craigslist......im not mad, just bothered......

Is the place insured? Will you get to be reimbursed? People like this should have to stand downtown with a sandwich board that says "I am a lowdown filthy thief"!

well my shop is most likely going to submit a claim due to the total value of what was stolen. so i would get reimbursed for what was stolen of mine. they broke into a storage container. Its a semi truck trailer that we have placed on the property and use for parts storage. i had my parts stored in there. it is locked every night and we have never had an issue with it. but they used a bolt cutters to cut the lock off and stole what they could. 4t6ford im sure they have NO idea what they have, and most likely will toss it away or put it on craigslist or what not. im scanning craigslist to see if anything comes up. im not really mad about it all, just bothered.....

Dang,I feel your pain as we kinda worked together putting up your parts list, I suspect the cops have no clue where to look or were to busy to take an interest.See if any local swap meets or flea markets are coming up and check them out.

Sounds like an inside job. Someone knew there was stuff in there, that's why they brought the bolt cutters. Are there any disgruntled former employees who would do this?

Well at least they didnt get much "money wise" it could have been worse and took the whole car! I know it ****s to have something stolen but from what it sounds $500 and you will be back where you were at before they did that. Hope you get the parts again and get to finish the build, Good Luck

I caught a kid (19 years old) that was steeling gas out of my boat.... the kid is still screwed up. I messed him up real good when I found him in my shop with a pile of parts outside ready to be loaded up but needed gas to escape, I doubt he will ever have his left hand working fully again....He swung a piece of square tubing at me and missed... I grabbed him and stomped on his hand. Cops came he got dragged away and his dad returned the next day and gave me $100 for my troubles.

Never had any trouble since! Maybe he was the only thief or the word got out!
