Nice job ! You guys think thats spendy ? you should see what Steve Rizby charges at Steve Auto Restorations, $100,000 is just the up front money and it goes way up from there, but he does not lack customers. It seems there are alot of guys with alot of $$ but not alot of guys that can do that good of work and put up the attitudes that some (not all) of these people have, I could not!!! do it ! More power to those of you who can.

    I agree.
If that car is really as nice as it sounds and appears from the pic, then
    it was done for cheap.
For this kind of work I think $40/hr. is cheap, all things considered.
Keep up the good work and post more pics!

    regards,
    DJ

    Hey Sam,

Beautiful job. I know most guys on the HAMB like to work on their own cars, so they aren't really familiar with the costs of having such a car built. 110,000.00 is cheap for that car. If you are using new, or custom one off parts, the dollars add up really quick. I've been working on my '33 for two years now. I've got a new business venture going right now so I have no time to complete the car. So, I sent everything up to Kansas last month so Redneck could finish the car for me. Even though I've done a lot of the work myself, and 2 years of planning and part collecting, I'll have over 100,000.00 in it and there's not even one piece of shinny stuff on my car. But, it will be the car that I see when I go to sleep at night. I've seen your work and you can wrench on my cars anytime.

    Doc.

See at Starbird. You goin to all 3 shows? We're take'n my grandparents camaro (if we get the stupid but really cool wheels in) The front tires came in Fri. ( the new bad ass M-T prostreet for 18in. wheels) so now all we need is wheels.

That car is really cool, who's gonna do the interior, and what color?

You're so fucking cool. Show some of your $100k worthy work, superman.

Very quality car. I'd love to see some detailed pics of the frame and build ala Cole foster's thread. The devil's in the details.

yeah wtf is with that comment? i only wish that 40 years of doing this will get me to the level of sheer skill and more importantly patience to see a project through that nicely!

  27. Got any spare customers?

I wish someone around here had that kind of money to play with.
You're causing me to rethink the value of my Hearse.
It's mine, so I never drew up any kind of estimate.
