1952-59 Ford Hey guys, I'm okay!

I want to thank everybody who has emailed and PM'd me asking if I was okay. I am, but have been sidetracked from the HAMB for the last few weeks.

It's really hot here in Texas, so working on my cars isn't going to happen.

It's also getting very broke out there, so my business is not doing well at all.

And...it's been getting out of hand in Washington, so I've been doing a lot of political volunteer work that takes almost all my spare time. I feel like my efforts are paying off in a small way, but it takes a lot of people doing small things to help get our government functioning like a government again, and our economy functioning as it should.

It's a stated rule that there's to be no political discussion here on the HAMB, and I've been upholding that regulation as well, though it's been difficult.

The Vicky and the Merc are exactly as they were on the last posts on my threads, and the Buick is still hauling my skinny *** to the cruise nights and car shows, scarce as they are here in the summer time.

Hope all is well with y'all. I'll catch up on the backposts as time allows. And thanks again for thinking of me.

    Eric

There is a place for politics here on the HAMB:http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=453 Ryan pretty much lets the social groups police themselves so it is good there is a place to vent in times like this.Hey! Glad to have you back! also about another MIA,Retro Jim sent me some more pics of the "Rigor Mortis" '53 Ford from the Beaver Creek G***er Reunion so we should be hearing from Him soon,He has been spending more time in the garage on His '55 before the snows come again, still misses His "buddy" and is having pain from the knee operation.

Whew! You had us sweating in here. Very glad to hear that you are OK. Sorry to hear about business; it is a great thing that you are getting involved in trying to change the situation. I have been considering getting more involved myself.

    Welcome Back!

Good to hear from you Eric. I've been kind of a stranger to the social group myself lately.

Good to hear you're okay, hopefully the economic situation gets better for you. I appeciate the political work since being an active member of the military I'm directly affected by all things government related.

Gees Eric, welcome back!!! I thought maybe that you and Miss Daisy had absconded to never-never land.

That's as political as I'll get - I have to deal with too much politics at work so this place provides excellent relief from those stresses.

Hope you're enjoying your 'additional duties as ***igned'. We likely share many of the same viewpoints though. EXCEPT that Chevies belong only in Chevies! :D :D
