Hi my names wes from birmingham, AL. Just joined a couple days ago in search of some much needed answers and am finding more than I could have hoped for. I graduated college a year ago and had always wanted to build a hot rod. I finally had time and a little money left over from loans so I said screw giving the money back and found myself a 1953 2dr ford customline. It was 500 bucks with no engine or floor pans but had alot of potential. I've got the engine cleaned up and ready and am waiting on mounts from brockman as we speak. I've never restored a car before or even worked one this old so all the help I can get is much appreciated. Hoping to find some 53's on here to aspire towards and am anxious in anticipation to see mine rolling down the road!

Wes , welcome to the group ! :D
There is a lot of great information and help here in the 52 to 56 Ford group ! So you will have no problems finding out something you need or a problem that will come up in your 53 project ! I also build engines and build hotrods and repair them as well here in Pa. , so if you need any help with something just give me a shout ! My daughter also lives in Alabama but south of you ! That's a very long 15 hour haul just to see her ! :(
I also have a computer disc that has lots of illustrations on it like a parts store has to show you anything that is missing , how to repair and put something back together on your 53 Ford . It cover Fords from 1949 to 1959 and is very helpfull . If you want one just send me a PM and I will give you the information . I have sold a lot of them to the group too ! It's only $12 to your door !
