Howdy. My name's Chad, and I'm in Boise, ID. I've been the owner of a long time project '65 ranchero. Since then, the family has grown, and twins are on the way. It'd become apparent that I needed a project with more seats and more doors. I picked up a 1956 Fairlane Town Sedan off craigslist last night for $1500 and drove it home. 292, new rebuilt fordo, and what appears to be a 9" rear. It has a HAMB 07 tour sticker on the vent window, and that led me here. I've got a lot to learn about this car, but thats what I enjoy doing. I hope to get some pictures up here soon.

Welcome Chad. The rear axle is a little brother to a nine inch if its stock. It should last the life of the car with an auto trans, fill it with 90/140 and go.

Welcome to the group ! There is a lot of great information and experience here as well . If you have any questions please feel free to ask all you want to ! We all will be able to help you with your project !
I do have a CD disc for your computer that will show you ALL the exploded pictures of how your cars different parts go together . I will also show you the parts you need and are missing too . It is very similar to the pictures at the parts store . There is also and part on the disc that has all the parts numbers as well . I have sold a lot of them to many , many people in the group . It is only $12 delivered to your door . It will help you with your 56 Fairlane build . If you are interested in the disc please send me a PM and I will gladly give you all the information you need for one .
    Good Luck !

    Jim
