I'm just spitballing here. I told myself and my wife that I'd buy this car and just drive it as is, but that isn't hot rodding is it. So I'm curious, as to what it would or could look like. I'm open to color ideas, but I'd like to see it silver with a charcoal gray top. Have at it, let's get nuts.
There is a small DUBS version of a 40 (?) that is silver with a charcoal top.......GOSH is it EVER pretty! I think I sent Rocky one in Tangelo orange and blue?? Ask him he'll know. I'm really a blonde under all this red. **x
Man that's a hard one! The flames are really tough to replace and have it look like they were just never there...especially on the fenders. I'll try but it might take a few days of pickin' at it. Olson
Well, Strat, mixed emotions here. My '41 is going to remain black, with tasteful pin striping. But I really like the silver/gray idea. Like I said in my PM to ya' a couple of days ago, when I met Rocky and the car at the HAMB, I fell in heat. The flames are great, but ya' gotta do what makes you happy, and IMHO, if someone else don't like it, they can just kiss my royal red, white and blue, politically incorrect ***. Ponch.
Lose the flames and go with the solid single color......Abelugos pic is nice on that 41......Do not go with the silver/grays......It'll look too much like that ol gray that they painted the stockers after the war[battleship colors ]
Silver/grey is the perfect color combo for a Pontiac. Don't understand why, it just always looks right. The thing that stands out for me, besides the flames, is the front bumper. Please dump that thing in the trash! Build a pair of small nerf bars or nothing at all.
The only thing that'll make Rockys old "Big Pee" faster is a really high cliff to push it off of (there, I said it). This is my first look at it with flames - sorry, I think it was a lot cleaner before (I dig black and white). Rocky slammed a stock '48 Pontiac sedanette years ago, with the stock grey/blue "battle ship" paint - it really set off the chrome and enhanced everything that drew me to old Pontiacs in the first place - I loved it! But it was a snail, too. If it were mine, I'd s****e off the flames and reshoot the black, then start building a 455/TH400 combo to slip into a TransAm subframe (I know, subframes usually ****, but they do work well in those big cars). For what it's worth.....
Okay let's try this again, but with a clean version of the car.......AND YES, this is a picture of Rocky's car. Don't ask how I gots it, I've got my ways. **x Brandy
[Don't ask how I gots it, I've got my ways] I've got my ways too, but they usually involve alot of begging and cash.
Well then, I've got a dollar if you've got change. This ones been photolowered already....pm Mai kiki, he's good with this nerdy stuff.
I think the darker color should run onto the hood of the car and round off like the hood does.....just my .4 cents on the deal.
No matter how confused he is, I want everyone to know that I love Mai and that I'll push down anyone who pulls his pigtails and steal their lunch money. Change the color of the car honey, not comment on it.....unless you did THAT photowrecking to start with??? Brandy
I did that photochop. I lub you too honey bunch. M (sorry for gaying up this thread!) P:S For what it's worth I still reckon my favourite look is like the moroon ones posted earlier with the whitewalls, or my version, black/grey with red wires..hehe Cheers M
