I've been thinking of this one for a while and have never seen one. Has anyone ever put the back of a Model A coupe on a tudor?
So are you saying to take a stock 2 door body and throw the portion of a coupe with the rear window down into the trunk including quarters onto it? so that you have a really long 2 door with a trunk? that could be cool if done right!
Why not just buy a Model A Coupe?? I have seen/almost done a 33/34 that way but those Coupes cost WAY more than an A.
Yeah. It would look very similar to this (what I have in pieces at home, which is where I got the idea for it). 1928 Graham Paige Victoria
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but here's mine, part I and II, sorry, part III coming after getting back there. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46465&highlight=tudor+coupe http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56295&highlight=tudor+coupe Edit: oops, I noticed that some photos are missing so here is the straight link to my photobucket album... http://photobucket.com/albums/y108/Karimix/A-Coupe/
That's very close to what I was talking about, but I was thinking of making it a 4 p***enger. The more I think about it, it might be easier to take a coupe and extend the rear quarter window.
Humm, sounds like a humpback sedan type idea. There's an idea, graft a humpback onto the sedan. It would probably flow more naturally, not be quite as long, maybe less awkward looking, give you the room you want. people would do a double take to guess if it was original or not.
I've seen it done before and from the back, if done correctly, it looks like a coupe. Not necessarily my style, however it is your car and idea so do what you feel like.
Ok those pics dont look too bad-way better than what I thought merging a coupe and a tudor- but why go to all the effort just pick one, coupe, tudor or vicky? -unless you are doing something radical like the purple people eater- a tudorised, chopped , channeled (sectioned?) coupe body-originally.
