Hello everyone, I just gotten my first old car a 54 Crestline, good solid body some surface rust, the inside looks like its seen way better days which it has LOL, it has a strait 6 three on the tree with overerdrive which isn't hooked up, but that will come later. It runs well excpet it runs HOT!
I feel this car for me is a open canvas, I could build it back to stock or swap some stuff out and make it my way. you get my point LOL Im looking forward to maybe helping or picking your brains for info (insert evil laugh here) Thanks for the great site!

Welcome from So Cal, nice looking car.
I would put a v8 in it and tear up the streets.

Welcome to the group! In '54 Ford went to the 223 and that was also used in Ford tractors so parts prices are not too crazy like a Y-block there is this website www.fordsix.com you could check out if you decide to play with the six,I did the 302 swap in my '54 which at one time had the 6 cyl with overdrive it's not hard to do and there are lots of 302 goodies available new and used.
