Well a few weeks ago flatlandman posted this Caddy motor in the cl***ifieds. well i wasn't really looking for a motor but I could not stop looking at it all day. I'm trying to gather enough parts to build my wife a Model A coupe. So when she got home from work I showed her the engine saying that this would rule in her coupe..not thinking that she would say.. "well we should get it then". WTF??? was I dreaming??? My wife is giving me the OK to spend money on Hot Rod Parts??? Yes its was true..even though it my money it's still cool...(The Coupe will be mine too ) so I spent some time on it this week...degreasing ****S!!! but it's on it's way!!! this is what I started out with started to disasemble after scrubbing for hours...I start to see metal Time for primer I went to Pep Boys and found this cool Peral Blue SUV paint Then I remebered that Savage had posted a Caddy intake in the cl***ifieds that had been drilled out for a Stude (He's going to fix it for me ) so I scooped that up too.. I started to restored the distributer Finally I scored some cool Chrome Reverse for her car too.. And these guys are happy to be shop dogs!! I'll update on the motor soon Savage is making me some 94's to go with the intake and my Nailhead will be getting put together soon for the MADSTER... evel

Ow ya 331 1955 And the grease was just as old. it took forever to get it clean enough for primer......
Good work Evel. Know how that goes. I've got 2 SBC's, 2 Poncho V-8's and a 250 6 sitting around my shop, and that doesn't include the ones that are in my wheels running. Good lookin' Rottie too! I've got 4 of them here at my hacienda.
Do you have larger versions of the motor pics? If so, could you post them, or email them to me? I haven't seen many early caddy motors apart, and those are great reference material. Thanks! email: mojo_rising_71 AT yahoo.com
Izzat a Mexican rebuild? Love the engine. Wish **** like that would turn up on this end of the country.
I'm glad somebody who grabbed that intake from Aaron and is going to put it too DAMN good use! He'll probably kick himself 2 years from now for selling it. Congrats on the motor, looks like its coming together!!!
You should just use the intake and replace the Caddy with a Stude motor. It looks good, now tell us who really cleaned the motor?
Piero is selfish I left my Flathead cad at his house he never did any detail work on it.... I think I need to get him some carbs
Son of a *****, Evel. Why did you have to post a pic of a black 302 when I am all set to go red with mine. Any pics of it in the car?
