1952-59 Ford 302 T-5 swap starter problems?

    Mine was a c4 swap Jeff but I put a shim in it from Help and it cured it for a while but it's making racket again I'm thinking hard about swaping bellhousings or putting a AOD I have both just cant make my mind up

    I would give a thumbs up to the AOD as long as you use an '88-93 core for your build.

    i have a tremec tko similar to t-5 , check the engagement of the starter drive to the flywheel teeth. i had to go to a big block starter to get the teeth to engage the flywheel correctly, i used after market bellhousing

    The starters for a T5 and auto are different . One has a longer snout that the other one . I bought one of those little starters that Jeff told me about for the engine I am working on for a customer and it works great !
