Hey guys. Just found this group through one of your members.
Just wanted to say hello to all of you.
    A little intro on me.
I just bought my first project car and its a 53 Ford Mainline.
I plan on doing a mild custom with it. Its a beatuful car and don't really want to do to much to it. Maybe a new front end due to the components being shot, and lower it another 2 inches in the rear. Then paint.
So that's me kind of summed up.

Thanks guys, its good to meet other ford owners.

looking at your pictures if you want the rear lower i would just flip those rear shackles!!! that will give you alot more drop in the rear!!!

Hey guys! Yeah I'm gonna reverse the shackles to lower her some more. Its easier. Maybe down the line I might do air ride, but that's all money I don't have, haha.
As far as the front goes, I'm not sure if he cut the springs or not? I haven't had the chance to get under her yet. She is sitting at my buddy's place while we finish fixing the garage.
I got my 53 two months ago, and all I've been able to do is stare at it. Totally blows. I've driven it once, and she has a heavy shake at times and then a sudden pull to the left. Not the safest ride right now.

Yeah the front springs were cut. They are a set of v6 chevy s10 coils with 1.5 rounds cut out.

No problem. I'm not big on the cut springs. I'd rather use lowering springs.
I'm doing a front clip swap so the cut springs will go. Reverse the shackles, shave the handles, and then paint..

Why swap the front clip? Why not just rebuild what's there?
