Well I figured I might as well take the ole ford down the 1/4. Went to the drags in Temple TX this weekend and had a best p*** of 15.2@88mph I'm happy with that! Heres where it goes south driving home on the freeway 3 loud backfires and i'm on the side of the road no spark! Now I'm in search of a new dizzy I have no vacuum ports on my carb and like to keep it simple what do ya'll suggest?

What engine are we talking about ?
Stock with points always works good and they are cheap if you have a SBF engine . Advanced Auto get like $30 for one and comes with the points , condenser and rotor for that price , totally rebuild .
I am going to be running a Mallory dual point distributor in mine . I have heard of too many nightmares with Pertronix and all I have is the points distributors and am electronic distributor that I might just use .

What distributor are you using now ? Sounds like you did your homework right on the engine set up and parts you used ! I really do like those heads . They cost more but are very well worth the extra money for them !
With the set up you have I would invest into a MSD or Mallory with either a big coil or ignition box . You have a lot of $$$ in that engine so don't buy a cheap HEI distributor . Now that's just my opinion .
