Bob Drake makes em, unless we have an Alliance Vendor who sells em, you're probably stuck with $325.

For what I have seen used ones go for, I'd buy a repro if I needed one.

The cheapest way to get a new gas tank and install it is to use an early 65 or 66 Mustang gas tank . I have used them many times for different cars . All you do is cut the trunk floor out and the Mustang tank sets down into the hole with a lip that goes all around the tank to hold in place . Then you just screw the tank into the trunk floor . It's really easy and the tank are just a little over $130 . You would have to figure a way to hook up a fill tube outside the trunk or you can just fill the tank inside the trunk . Then you can cover the outside fill tube up .
    Just a thought .

I have a good one that came with a parts car I bought. The seller told me that he had it cleaned and boiled out by a radiator shop and it does have a radiator shop tag soldered on it. You can have it for $100.00 plus Greyhound shipping which I would estimate at around $50.00. Let me know. Alan S. Freeman

Boy, if Deiselchuck doesn't jump on that, I sure could use it. I didn't know mine was in such bad shape untill I took it off the car and looked in it. If DC doesn't want it, I'll buy it!

The $239.00 fuel tank offered by gastanks.com is for a '55 Ford and WILL NOT FIT '52-'54 models. Alan S. Freeman

I've got a used tank out of a '53 customline that you can have for $25. I bought a Bob Drake unit just beacuse I didn't know what might be in this tank. Looked pretty good inside when I changed it though. The problem is that I'm not sure UPS will want to ship a g***y tank. It's still got 1/4 tank of gas in it. PM me if you are interested. Maybe you are within driving distance.
