Some strange kustoms and some that are different , but still love them all !!!!! Hope you enjoy them all ! Jim
This was a mistake. Over the last 45 years, I have owned a 56 Ford for 30 of those years but I gotta admit, I really like the mid 50's Cadillacs. The only thing I would change is the color.
Hey Jim Nice pictures, the 10th one down is of my friend Brian's Cadillac. The 12th down is of my friend Ki Hansen 56 Mercury. 14th down is of our buddy Danny Dornan's 61 Newport which is featured in R&C Dec 2011. Picture 27 is of Roberts 53 Chevy
That pic of the steering wheel sure is a different one. I kinda like it. Good place to put a handle if you don't like the old suicide knob.
riskybiz , I hope they don't mind me posting the pictures of their show cars ! They just looked really great so I posted them for the others to enjoy them as much as I did . You will have to tell them how much I did like their show cars and how well they built them . They truly have a lot of work in those show cars and I can bet they have a ton of $$$$$ in them as well . Great looking show cars ! Do they just take them to shows or do they drive them around to enjoy them ? Jim
I also added a bunch of new pictures of kustoms on the other post I had of kustoms cars ! So make sure yo take a look of those as well ! I do really enjoy looking at a GOOD KUSTOM but I could never afford the ones they have ! Those people have some serious money in those cars and more hours of work than I can even think of ! Hats off to those people for all the work they have put into their Kustom Show Cars ! I have always wondered how often they drive those show cars around or do they sit in a garage all the time . Retro Jim
i liked pic #1, 5 and 6. the 2 door ford wagon was sweet as well. i agree with the deep pockets comment. im just glad somebody has them to give the rest of us some ideas
That light yellow pearl '54 Merc is absolutely gorgeous. Goes to show what little you have to do to a '54 Merc to make it pretty... Other than the chop, how much is really done to it...
thanks for posting those Retro Jim. I agree that the 54 Merc is one really sweet ride. The first car I ever drew as a kid was a 54 Merc. Of course it did not look as good as that cause I was about 5 at the time. And I never got any better at drawing.
