The shops down here are very pricey as well. Lots more regulations to deal with. Bill, Spring, TX

We have the luck of Tijuana being close. There are no regulations and its cheap too. Just spend the day there and come home with show quality chrome.

At the Carsile Events Ford Show in Carsile Pa , there is a business that brings newly chromed bumper with them and you can either bring your as a trade-in discount on newly re-chromed bumpers or just but them out right ! That place sell a ton of bumpers ever year there . I don't know the prices off hand but when I looked at some 4 years ago they were the cheapest I have seen yet ! The bumpers come wrapped and they un wrap the bumper so you can check them out before you walk away with them . They do a really nice job too ! I have seen them before in person myself so I know what they look like .
I wish I knew the name of the place .
If I find it I will let you know . They come to Carsile Ford Show in June .

My buddy just got the front and rear bumpers done on his 56 Ford crown. He got them from the chrome shops that come to the swap meets. He paid $230.00 exchange for the front and $260.00 exchange for the rear. Nice triple chrome. Aw the life in Cali.

When I wanted new bumpers, I went the exchange route instead of having mine rechromed to save turn around time. Neither one fit right, both had to have the brackets modified. I think next time I will have mine rechromed. I used the Bumper Shop in So Cal.

If you are in California,Arizona or Nevada watch out for this place called "Chrome" also goes by other names and travels the swap meet circuit, the key is the business cards show the location to be 1004 W. West Covina,CA 91790 the bumpers He has at the meets are OK and the prices run around $250 each so if He has them on hand it's OK to buy them BUT do not give Him your $$ and order them to be shipped as you may be playing phone tag for months before they ever show up and the quality is not usually as good as the ones He has with Him.For some additional info on His aliases Google the name and address I posted.

I think Retro Jim is speaking of Bumper Boys. Tri City Platers was there and offers good plating with lifetime warranty. I can ***ure you plating is NOT cheaper in Canada.
