My friends new Edlebrock Engines fuel system puked after 3,500 miles. He took the carb and fuel lines apart and found all kinds of little rubber bits and other trash in his system. It actually shut down on him on the way home and had to have it flat bedded to his house.

He did extensive research and found out it was the Ethanol that destroyed his fuel system. He came upon this great product that gets rid of all the Ethanol & E-10 problems. I took his advice and have been using this in all my gasoline powered engines (cars, lawnmowers, weedwhips, generators etc.) for the past two years with no problems. He has had no problems since he replaced his fuel line and cleaned his carb and started using this product. It is called Startron. http://mystarbrite.com/startron/ or do a search on Startron for more information. Click on the link and see for yourself. You can purchase it at most automotive stores.

I don't sell this product but just thought I would share some information for others.

See ya on the boulevard!!! Click on crusin55 at the top of this post and see my toys that I run Startron in to protect from future damage and expense.:cool::cool:

Thanks for this info. I had a guy stop by friday asking about this exact problem, I simply related to your post and we looked up this and other products that offer protection against E10 **** gas. Thanks for making it easy to research.

Thats good to know. I haven't had any issues yet, and I am currently not running any fuel additives. However, I know its only a matter of time before something is gonna come along. I think I will start running this as a cheap preventative insurance.

I have seen a do***entary about this before and it was pretty much the same information. This brings up something that I've been interested in doing, changing my fuel lines to all steel but I don't know how to attach them to the flared tips on the fuel pump and fuel filter. Does anyone know how to do this?

That really great news for many of us and especially the ones with the original stock engines . This ethanol **** were are forced to use eats up all the rubber in older and antique parts really fast too ! I do know that the Edelbrock carbs don't do very well on Ethanol fuels ! Barry Grant had many problems with their carbs as well due to the ethanol fuels .

Yep, it's good stuff! I found out about it a few years ago when I re-did the carb on the Harley. The guy that told me about it said that it was a real hot item for marine use too. I run it in all my older vehicles.
