So on the weekend I had the Aerostar springs installed in my 56. It dropped the front end a much needed 2". After replacing my 223 6 cyl with an alum headed sbf the front end was all jacked up and looked like a half *** g***er. It is hard to tell from the pictures because of the angle but it sure looks nicer. I might get one more inch with the lowering plates or I might just raise the back 1" when I change the rear suspension.

Looks great! It still may settle a bit, so you may want to hold off on raising the back for awhile.

What a huge improvement over the stock stance . Really looks a lot better . So how well does it handle now with the new springs ?

No kidding, what was Ford thinking back then, they should have just made them with this stance in the first place.

I only drove it home but it handles a lot better. It doesn't try and roll over when you turn a corner. lol

54..., Ford was thinking what all the car companies were thinking in '56, long and low. Eventually, sometime around 1960, all the cars would be powered atomically, or by Kryptonite, and cruise along superhighways folowing a wire buried in the concrete. We would all sit back in thin back, pivoting bucket seats with no seat belts, smile and look out the windows at tall, pointed top buildings with helecopters flying around them, smoke Luckies and talk to chicks that dressed like Judy Jetson.

I admire the rust free body and the owners choice of wheels.

I would have to look them up hotroddn56. Just do a search here there is a bunch of articles on what part # for the springs and shocks. I just don't recall the numbers right now.
