I'm thinking orange flake top with a little gold/rainbow flake. Mango(?) pearl basecoat on the body with either purple or lime greem subtle scallops. Photoshop please, anyone????
The only thing I'd do is lose the lakes pipes. (I didn't like 'em when they were the cats meow) What a sweet piece. I know my opinion will be in the minority here but be careful that you don't "gook" it up. (see C9s post) The car has beautiful lines on it's own merit. I've always wanted a 60 Pontiac and my dream car is just like yours. You are lucky.
I AGREE FULLY! I'd maybe have some stripe work done in the same color as the gut's, then drive the hell out ot it!! It looks smooooth just like that! My dad had a 60 poncho 'back in the day'..alway's like that body style.
Schweeeeet. Reminds me of Mike Young's Impala, "Exotica"... here's some more pix http://www.jimmievaughan.com/ezine/cars/rj3_pg5.html
i think you should throw some silver flake on the roof , than scallop the sides trunk and hood with the silver flake.....o and out line the scallops in neon green to match those steel wheels under those caps....just my 2 cents
I think I have to agree with Tommy,,,that car is cool just like it is,,,,even with the lake pipes,,, HRP
Grouco. Just flake the roof out and leave it at that. Keep it simple. It looks great just the way it is to be honest. Drive it to Bob's so I can check it out. KNUX!
The green's GONE. I have a lime green pearl 51 Ford G***er. Silver and white=boring. I want-what the **** were you thinking when those colors made it on to that car??? Anyone got pics of E-Dogs t-Bird?
Pretty car; I used to have a very similar one in blue. I like your choice of orange paint colors, but I'd skip the scallops. In purple or green it will be waaay to garish.
Orange flake the roof, but forget scallops - lime candy fogged over lime gold panels are what's in order here.
As a "Wide Track" Pontiac lover, that's a nice car! I like the theme you already had in your mind. Keep us posted. Joel
I love the stock grill. One of my favorite parts of the 60. It came with this grill, but it wasn't til he took it off that i was interested in the car
You mean like this!?! Har**** painted Forsakenfew's Poncho and I saw it up close at Hot Rod A Rama. Very sweet, like candy! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65022&highlight=erik
That car will get a lot of thumbs-ups going down the road, I drove one daily for a couple of years. I can never stand a white car, though, it looks like a blank canvas and the lines in this car just scream for scallops. I'd try and use a color that works with whatever color the interior is - looks either grey, dark blue or green to me. If it was me, I'd be tempted to mask the scallops and pant the rest of the car a dark candy green or burgandy with a bright flake top.
