1952-59 Ford New guy introduction

    I've been watching this group for a little while and would like to join in. I have a 1954 Mainline that has been modified with a 302 and c-4, and has a continental kit on it. I just did the stock brakes and went through the steering gear box..I am going to drive it for a while and then formulate a plan for the future after I put some miles on it.

    With a handle like yours, I hope a 427 FE is in the future.

    Dave , he could just have a stroked 351w to get that 427 as well ! A lot cheaper and a lot less weight up front ! Anyway you look at it , it's still a handful of power under the hood !

    That occurred to me. Also the possibility that because the handle “427 T Top” sounds like a Corvette reference a 427 Chevrolet could happen.

    FE is the coolest option, though.

    FE's can produce m***ive torque figures,I remember a couple of rides I had in cars with 427 FE's talk about slam you back in the seat!
