Nice set-up you have there. What GM sub-frame did you use. Is it the same width as the stock ford frame. Nothing wrong with running a Chevy motor in a ford. I have a 54 business coupe with a 350/700.:D

I used a G-body frame clip...(1978-1987 mid size gm...Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Olds Cutl***) almost the same track width....Your right there is nothing wrong with running a Chevy engine in a Ford....I once built a 1957 Chevy Straight axle car and put a 413 wedge in it...also a 1951 Ford with a 500 Caddy(that was awesom)...I put a Ford 260 in a Sunbeam Alpine(not a Tiger)....the last car I built previous to this was a 1957 Ford tudor wagon and I put a 390 Ford 4 speed manual in it....so I think I've earned the right to do what I want as far as engine and body combinations goes......but I understand what some people are saying, they've just seen too much of the sbc thing...but it wasn't always that way, and now the new political climate is Ford in a Ford and Chevy in a Chevy, etc.,......I have friends that are "Fordies", and they are tough bunch and they are tough on me....But I don't care, I'm just in it for the fun.... I love building cars.....thanks everyone for your comments......Coop

Wow, I haven't seen a set of those for years.....I bought a set many years ago for $20 and sold them to a guy that couln't live without them...Personally I could never bring myself to put them on a car (even though several of them qualified to wear them)....There was just something wrong about them.(hee-hee)

Your sunliner is coming along just great. I feel like you, and put what I want under the hood. I have a 59 Dodge custom Royal Lancer with a 79 Z-28 front clip,79 trans-am rearend, Chevy 350,700R and air bags all around. I have fun when I take it to the Mopar shows. The Mopar purist think I'm crazy.:D I am also putting together a 53 Studebaker truck with a 79 Volari sub-frame, Ford 351/c6 ford 9inch rearend.
