Long time lurker. Haven't done much posting because not much shows. All underneath, so far. Finally put a floor in the car hauler, at least it looks like there is some progress! Finally runs, and made some short cruises. Will have to raise it up some(ugh). http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=350928 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=350929 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=350927 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=350926 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=291285
Eldo powered, don't have pics, but will get some soon. Has GM Cad column. Box is pretty much straight up & down. HRD TO SEE< BUT WILL DO THE BEST I can.
Really sweet man...thanks for sharing...I'm sure everyone would like to see some details of your build, I know I would. Did you put hydraulic or electric brakes on the rear axles? Did you hand craft the rear fenders (very nice job)? Air ride? Geeesh.. so many ?s
This truck was started a long time ago in So. Cal. I got it from the widow of the previous owner. I don't think he ever drove it, and it was never finished. It has sat a long time. He p***ed away in '06. Metaltwister on here has told me most of what I know about it. It has hydraulic brakes on the rear with a proportioning valve. The rear fenders appear to be 4 48 Ford fenders welded together. I will try to get some pics together as I go. It has the Cad torsion bar front, which I am raising with GMC motorhome parts. I will try to answer anything that I can. Whoever started this was a pretty good craftsman. Nothing needs upgraded, just freshened up or finished.
Cool to see this great looking truck back. I have photo's from it when it was before on the hamb. date 12-03-2007. The truck haze nice proportions. Have fun with finising it up
Here is a few update pics. More in my album. Hope I don't disappoint too bad. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=378793 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=378793 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=378795 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=26215&pictureid=378792
Sweet truck man! I really like the front bumper, not sure if that is a stock one or fabricated, but it really works. Like everyone else says, more pics!
Very cool rig, I was trying to buy that when it was on ebay but dropped the ball. And you have a sweet 36, I'm building a conv. westerguard style.
Thanks for the kind words. Its nice to know that there is at least one other wierdo that thinks like I do. LOL
Box is 6x14. I only have 74" between the fenders. Couple of Harleys and some swap stuff is about all that will fit in it. A rolling ch***is may fit, but it will be tight.
I thought it looked the same as my enclosed 7 X 16 trailer. I haul a RZR UTV and junk in it. The RZR is a tight squeeze side to side with the doors on and a short fat guy trying to get out of it LOL I really like the extended cab look of this COE Wished you were closer I have an awning I would give you for it.
