As you know me and the woman bought a house together and have started about decorating the ba*****t, or "hot rod" room, i have all my speed equipment in there, my gas pump and lots of other memoribilia, and models die cast etc etc, well we figured the "normal" couch wouldnt do so we figured we have to do something different, well here it is, Jennie (girlfriend) does upholstry, auto, home and marine, and she likes working with vinyl, tuck and roll etc etc, so i sugested that she do a couch, and candy cane it with red and white tuck and roll, well she did, and i think it turned out awsome. Now next plans are to tear up the ****ty carpet and tile it white and red checkerboard! JEFF
Yea, your place rocks. Jennie and you have a real cool house. That couch is cool. Tell Jennie it looks really good. Next thing you need to do is get an old car body in the house and use it for some type of furniture or wall hanging. HE HE HE SCOTT
Not only do you have a sweet couch, but is that a cabinet full of intake manifolds and carbs? im jealous...
Since your gonna be home on that couch so much I'll go ahaead and take that nailhead you have in your avatar. No need to thank me. Thats what HAMBers do.
Very cool couch. Now get an old engine block and use it as the base for a coffeee table with a see thru gl*** top.
I love the sofa, REALLY love t*******...but my girly two cents on the deal? Don't go with a red and white floor or it'll make that fantastic piece blend. Go with black and white or grey and white to make the red *POP*. NOW, for services rendered......I'd like one of those lovely manifolds with carbs just ROTTING away in the gl*** cabinet. **x
Brandy's right about the floor and the couch. BUT, if you really want the floor like that, put down a black, silver, dark grey or even real dark navy blue RUG under the couch and whatever coffee table you put in front of it. Have your upholstery friend trim the edge of the carpet/rug to look like an auto carpet. You might even round the edges or shape them to fit the kick panels that aren't there. Not Gay, just an architect. Dan
If your jealous of his intake manifold collection, don't look at his never ending stash of cars and trucks. I think he now owns one of everything cool. Mootz
I was thinking black and white to start, but then i thought red and white, but hten like brandy said itll stand out a bit more, plus the reds wont have a chance to clash if they dont match. I like the coffee table motor stand idea, i have a flathead that is just destined for that! JEFF
