MERRY HO!HO! TO ALL YA'LL OUT THERE. I RECENTLY GOT MY FIRST (FOUND IN THE BARN DEALS) THE OTHER DAY. A LOCAL LADY'S HUSBAND PAST AWAY AWHILE BACK AND SHE IS SELLING THE "OLD CARS IN THE BARN & PASTURE". SO FAR I HAVE BOUGHT THE STEEL 29' "A" ROADSTER W/ A 427 FORD SIDE OILER IN IT. I"M NOT TOTALLY INTERESTED IN THE MOTOR OR C-6 TRANS, MIGHT BE LETTING GO. HAVE A 354 HEMI THAT MAY LOOK PRETTY COOL IN FRAME RAILS,CARS IS CLOSER TO RAT ROD CONDISH THAN THE OTHER. WHAT'S THE CENSUS??? TAKING SUGGESTIONS. ONCE I LEARN HOW, I'LL GET PICS ON. PULLIN' THE PAN & CHECKIN' THE RODS,,,, LATER!!!!
if this isn,t a joke the 427 is worth about 20,000.00 with no problem if it is complete. the cobra guys willl eat it up.
I'd leave the side-oiler (drool), not many guys running a NASCAR engine in a '29 these days. That'd even make the Hemi guys keep look'in over their shoulder!
First off quit yelling 1. Change the wheels (Preferaby 16" 40 skinnys) 2. Put a stock crossmember on front Changing the suicide 3. Chopp the windshield 4. Hurry up your running out of time. Oh, Very nice find, gotta come out this week and check this out
don't you know better than to post pictures of stuff that nice.you'll have hate P.M'S,about gold chainers, for weeks. looks great tell us about it -danny
Diggermike will have to tell you the lowdown on the frame but its going under a RPU that is super SWEET at Sache Rod Shop !!!
In the midst of all this commation about the side oiler and the gold plated frame,I have yet to see anyone ask what else is for sale there? Soo,,,,what else is there? T.OUT
I HAVE A FEW OTHER PASTURE CARS TO GO GET STILL. ONE IS A "RATABLE" 46-47 MERCURY COUPE 70-80% THERE, THE OTHER IS A 47 FORD COUPE W/TITLE. IT'S A HERE & THERE CAR- THE BODY'S OVER THERE,THE FRAMES OVER HERE, THE FENDERS IN THE BARN,KINDA PROJECT. SHOULD BE GETTING THEM LATER JANUARY. STILL WORKING ON THE ORIGINAL 34 FORD P/U IN BARN, SHE KEEPS SAYING IT IS ALREADY SPOKEN FOR. SHOULD BE GETTING THE STUFF IN THE OTHER BARN,MOSTLY FLATHEADS AND MISC. PARTS. THERE'S ALSO A STEEL T-ROADSTER BODY. TRYING TO GET AS MUCH AS I CAN. WE'LL SEE............ NOW AS FOR THE GREEN FRAME IN THE OTHER PICTURES, IT'S A CUSTOMERS 29 "A" ROADSTER P/U WE ARE DOING. IT'S GOING TO BE A NICE ONE.
Definitely keep the 427, change the headers. I'd go later '60s hot rod look with it. Put a set of 10 spokes up front, a set of wide Americans, ETs, or Halibrands if ya got the green on the rear. Change the seats, put it in one color, drive the shit out of it. Sort of like hot rod pro's '32.
I'M REALLY NOT THAT INTERESTED IN THE THE 427. EVERYBODY SAYS KEEP IT,THINK I MAY PUT IT ON E-BAY NOT SURE YET. STARTING TO GET LOT'S OF CALLS ON IT. WOULD LIKE TO LET MOTOR GO FOR A ENOUGH TO COME OUT OK ON THE CAR AND THEN PUT A 354 HEMI W/ 2-4'S THAT I HAVE SITTIN AROUND.
Very cool, I am sooo jealous! Now I'll take a stab at what some of the others are trying to hint at. ALL CAPS ON THE INTERNET IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE GOOD REASON TO BE EXCITED BUT STOP SHOUTING AT US!!!!!!!!!
Sell the 427, the proceeds could finance the entire build. Oh, and hit the "Caps Lock" button... If you are afraid of not having good grammar, you'd be the only one here. .
