1952-59 Ford wanted: 55-56 fenders

Discussion in 'Off Topic Hot Rods & Customs' started by Rockabillykat666, Mar 7, 2012.

  1. hey guys..i'm gonna start working on the ol' ladies wagon and it would be nice to find a decent set of fenders. i have all the patch panels to fix hers but it would be so much easier to find a decent set that needs minor work and slap them on.. i'm in western PA. also, i havent researched yet but we're keeping the 223 inline 6 and fordomatic trans.. are parts for the 223 easy to come by? what should i keep a look out for? it runs and drives fairly well but i'd like to dress it up a bit.

Good luck finding good used ones.

I don't know of anyone that makes repro fenders, I could not find a source for them a few years ago when I needed some.

Here's a link to a guy in northern Michigan that advertised on the ford barn for some used sheet metal, he might be worth a try: http://fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43276

I did the welding on my brother in laws, 55. I had eleven patches in the right front fender. The paint man made it look good, I dont have the skill for that part. Not much filler, just some hammer and dolly work.
