Any tips on chopping a 53 chevy 210. What is the best way to get around the curved back gl***. I have seen on Larry Grobe's VooDoo Kreeper he went with a rectangular window. Does any one know what he did and how i can reach him?
Do you want to get rid of the rounded rear gl***? Why? Just cut around the entire gl*** down into the trunk and lay it down to match the lowering of the roof and fill in the rest. You won't need to have the rear gl*** cut.
the latest issue of rod and custom, or is it custom rodder, anyway one of those new issues chops a 53 pontiac, just about the same car, might give you some ideas
Hey, How heavy of a chop are we talkin? Are you thinkin the rear gl*** will give ya the same problems as the '51 Mercury rear gl***- lower bottom of front of gl*** digs into quarter if it a heavy chop-
Pretty sure Larry used a 49 Ford sedan rear gl***. It'll depend on how much chop your doing. If you're going radical like the Kreeper then you'll have to have a different back gl***. If you're going to do a mild chop then you could probably get by with the stock back gl***. Chevy 150 sedans or coupes have a nice back gl*** that has perfect contour to the roof of your 53 too. The Pontiac chop was in Custom Rodder.
