I just had to upload a bunch of images of my art for an article, so i downsized some of em and thought I'd share em with ya. Some of these are of my earlier work that most of you probably have never seen. This one's from 1993, called "Fire and Suicide"

This ones called "Tangerine Metalflake Cyclops" it's a painting of Scott Craigs Triumph, which I believe belongs to Brian Setzer now(the bike, not the painting)

I did this piece for the Chopper Art show(Psycledelic Tendencies) last year, it's watercolor. I'm thinking about issuing it as a print.

Thanks guys, I appreciate that coming from both of you. Johnny, those two pieces are sold and I don't have any good pics of either of them. The Eddie munster piece is in Japan, but I'm trying to get Nash to take some pics of it for me. The Vampira piece is in Palm Springs, maybe I'll use that as an excuse for a vacation!

nice work guys, that wagon photoshop deal looks pretty kookie, makes me think of when I see a '57 chevy wagon shortened with the rear doors removed. It makes ya do a double take.

Little pink purse, gone to a good home this week.

Good start for this week everyone.

I agree, nice to see Mr. Collins work on here again. Really like the A shell framed piece, Possum fer Petrol is cool as well.

  19. A couple;one I've been working on for awhile now. It's still not really finished as I'm making some modifications as I go along.Ladies and Gentlemen:Meet VON DUCK!

A flea market decoy outfitted with six wooden striping brushes(of different sizes)for wings, stainless steel spatulas(don't EVER try to drill through that stuff)for feet, the helmet is the actual carved shape of the head covered with several pieces of aluminum tape(used for sealing insulated ceiling panels) cut to fit with a spike made from an aluminum push pin.

The helmet is a goalie's helmet and still being worked on.
    Enjoy.

Awhile back I posted Pics of a friends work on a metal model. Well now that I have my scanner I can post the others..This is so awesome!!!!!!
It is almost an identiacal twin to our Lincoln. He built this model about 12 yrs ago. Keep in mind that they were both metal toys.

One photo is of the model sitting on the hood of the Lincoln!!

I think because he took photos of these with a white background my scanner kind of chopped off some, but I cant fix that

I have a few more of his pieces that I will scan in later

Kustomlincolnlady, those sure make my stuff look like junk. I'm almost embarased to post mine now... almost.

Desk Top Art Work #67 is a winged modified, built to order. It has a removable wing and a removable body.

I'm exparementing with the lighting to try to show more of the details, don't think its working well. Can anyone give me a few pointers? Gene

  27. Nice stuff as usual Gene;I can appreciate the work that goes into one of your creations.
As for pointers,I am by no means an expert on photography, but I think I would try using a higher contrast background.Do you shoot the pictures in a light box?
You can build one fairly easily out of black(or dark color)poster board or using black yardgoods such as velour(probably better;no reflection)and having the top of the box in a white or light color.
Use a bounce flash aimed at the top of the box and it will distribute the light more evenly. You will probably have to experiment a bit but I think you'll like the results.
