Does anyone know who still sells retractable lap belts with the chrome aircraft type buckle? The retractors in my dad's '63 bonneville have worn out and we're redoing the car over the winter. He bought them from J.C. Whitney, but they don't sell them anymore. I know I saw a post about a year ago about someone still making them, but I can't find it with a search.
Julianios,yogis,parr.. I think they all have the kind your looking for. If im correct by aircraft style you mean the chrome lift style buckle. If not then sorry im a dumb *** Dave
i bought a set about a yr or so ago. the chrome lever style ones. i looked everywhere but couldnt find a set that was retractable.

if you can find the belts & buckles you want from another source - Kanter sells the 'Stor - A - Belt' seatbelt reels for $15 a pair. http://www.kanter.com/headliners.htm#seat%20belt click & scroll down a bit.
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/xq/aspx/display_id.5053/qx/Product.htm Hopefully the link to speedway will work. They now have lift latch belts with retractors. Tracy
Back to Andover: I put aset in my A and have been very pleased. They have good instructions on- line as well. Here's the link to the belts you need. http://www.andoauto.com/retrofit1.htm
I used them. Good product, but at the top of the price range. Directions were vague, and the retractors were very different looking from one another so watch 'em.
Try Wesco Performance: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/wescoperformance/ Site has lots of seatbelt info too. Good customer service. Ask for Wes.
There is aplace from the TYLER,TEXAS area that travels the local swap meets called "snakecity ?????" and they can restore your originals.
