how bout just make it all 1950s fords if you want to go that route? shoeboxes have more in common with 52-53 ford and merc then a 57-59 ford. i personally like it how it is.

Without a doubt, the hardest thing to find is good, sound advice.
Forums like this are the answer. As the years you are intending to incorporate use the same general mechanicals it seems a no-brainer to ask any of those members who wish, to come on over.
The general sense of camaraderie here makes it easy for people to ask any question and not feel like a fool. We all started somewhere.
    Go for it I say.
    Regards

Incorporating yet another segment of the automotive population would certainly make this group larger, but I'm not convinced it would be any better...

I would have agree with missysdad1.....it would make it bigger but would it make it better? I'm not so sure, but I'm OK with anything you want to do, Jeff!

My opinion would be to keep it as is. I personally like having a group focused on the car that I have. That way I have a group of people with specific knowledge of my questions. Not "I did this on my '58...."

That being said, whatever you decide to do, I am ok with. I'm a big boy and can sift through answers and keep what works and pitch what doesn't.

It's official! Ryan has changed our ***le for us.Ron, the "music died in '59" I was lucky to see the Big Bopper,Richie Valens and Buddy Holly and the Crickets at the Prom Ballroom in St. Paul,MN the week before they made the fateful flight, I heard the bad news over the radio in Dad's '56 Chevy driving back in the snow from Wisconsin.

Yup, I knew it died in '59. I was only 8 but my sis graduated from high school that year, and I vaguely remember her being upset when she heard about the crash.

Well, now that our shirts are obsolete, perhaps we should start thinking about another design to include the '57-'59s?

    How about just taking a black marker pen and putting a " - '59 " after the '56 ?
