What up party people! I just found the group while trying to get some info on my ride. Ive got a 53 Ford Customline four door with a 215 inline with a heart racing 101 HP and 3 on the tree. She also has a stump pulling set of 3.90's on the rear. Which is great for climbing hills but **** on the freeway. Everything is pretty much stock aside from 3 inch blocks and heated coils to get her nice and low. The down side a **** ride in the front but you can't have it all. I'm rollin around Socal so don't be afraid to wave. Well enough about me time to jump into some posts.
Welcome to the group from Abbottstown , Pa. ! You need to replace the front springs with Aerostar springs for a better ride ! Those springs are the best to use hands down and are 2" shorter than stock . Also replace all the old rubber too . Jim
Welcome from WI. Absolutely do the Aerostar springs- nice lowering and you will notice a great improvement in handling.
Welcome from another So Cal'er. You can get the shocks at Summit for $35 each. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/KYB-KG4503/Application/?query=Make|FORD
Welcome from another owner of a 53 Ford, mordor, six cylinder, three speed which I've owned for 38 years. This is the place to be!
Welcome from a 53 Victoria owner I have mine on Aerostar springs... But they will be removed in favor of a new font end conversion and air ride.
Welcome from San Diego. I've got the Aerostar Springs on my front and 3" drop springs on the rear. The front was done before I got it and it rides nice.
