Looking to buy new caps for my '54 and just wondering what you guys are running. I've seen some '57 Lancers that look pretty sweet. Pics would be great.:)

Best place to look is Google, put 1954 Ford in search then click on "Images" there are 100's to see and since the 1952 & '53 Fords share the same style body check that out too.

I have '60 ****on/poverty caps on my '56 & stock 6" rims, same as it had when I got it in '68. I added trim rings recently. Pics are in my albums.

Any Ford from 54 to 56 looks good in the 55 Thunderbird wheel covers. The Lancers were available a few years ago reproduced, but I dont remember if they were available in 15 inch.

I'm running the Lancers that I bought in 1976. I've always liked them and have never really thought about running anything else.

I'm running two sets of lancer caps in 14 & 15's. Also to change it up I have modified 59 Buick invicta hub caps. Just bought a set of 57 cad sobrero caps. I will have on for West Coast Kustom Santa Maria.:D

Thanks for all the input. Leaning towards Lancers but will take my time.

Jeff, thanks for the tip about Google images. Did that once before but had forgotten. hubcapmikes was where I was looking at the lancer caps.

I tend to like the offbeat stuff, like the '56 Plymouth 'caps on General Gow's Mainline and the '56 Olds 88 'caps on my Mercury. Spinners are kinda "busy" in my opinion - sometimes they fit the theme and sometimes they don't - but the non-spinner 'caps give the car the appearance of "floating" along with no motion when it's going down the road, an effect I like very much.

Actually, I like the single-bar "moons" you've got on your car now - especially with blackwalls. This was a very common "look" in my town during my "yout'"...

I saw some hubs on Jesse James' truck at Round Up and I believe they are 53-54 Mercury. They have the Merc man in the center with several rings out that. We love to have some for our Merc!

Well I've narrowed it down to full caps, prolley the '57 caddy caps. Headed to the SK500 in Dewey OK today, sure to get more ideas there.

Saw a lot of those Lancer caps at the SK500..........along with Caddy and Olds caps. The more I look at those Polara caps the more I like them. Now I'm really confused.

I dipped into my hubcap cash for some pinstripes over the weekend. I'll get some pics up, thought it turned out well.

I went with Torq Thrust 16" Mags on my '55. I like it.....it is a different look with traction bars, rake and etc.

Click on crusin55 and check my albums for pictures. Don't forget to stop and smell the roses once in a while.

    See ya on the boulevard!!!!!
