Is there any websites out there that sell after market re-pop parts? I have a '54 Ford Victoria & can't find parts at all, I need a new front bumper & new grill & other misc. parts, for my '53 Chevy truck I was able to buy everything I could ever want for the truck but this car I can't seem to find anything..any help or suggestions would be great thanks!
PM sent on a grille, there is a place in California that has bumpers around $275 and sells at California and AZ swap meets they are rechromed but quality is hit and miss, if you could locate a group member that would pick one out first hand for you that would be best. Contact Scott known as skoh73 here on the board and you can be put on the members map to find other members in the area that may help.
I found the following thread about United Plating, just as an FYI... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=596161 Also, if you look at the FAQ page I listed all of the parts suppliers for our cars that I could think of. I've yet to see one with replacement bumpers or grilles, which seems like a missed opportunity, but in case you need other stuff there they are. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=18186
i think this is the place that had them. looks like they went up. http://stores.ebay.com/Chrome-Works-Bumpers-and-more
The first post I made above relates to this United Plating when I refered to "hit and miss" and only buy if he has the goods at a swap meet that you can see first hand, like the link to the main board mentions Juan seems like a "nice guy" I myself have met him twice and they go under different names I have a United Plating business card and also a card that says CHROME with the same address. He also sells on ebay so ONLY BUY FROM THEM IN PERSON don't ever order from them by phone or online.
i got a set of bumpers off some california guys at a swap meet in tx. i just gave them my bashed in ones and they were 275 a piece and they are amazingly good quality. the chrome is perfect. I just called them and asked what swap meets they were going to and one was close to me so they brought me a good set.
