Any good metal man can make a new one if he has an old one to copy if its not to torn up.

Got mine on ebay pretty sure from that place in Oklahoma, 4 or 5 years ago. According to Paul (he replaced it for me), it's a good quality piece.

Perhaps a word of caution regarding used ones - they seem to rust from the inside due to ac***ulation of salt, dirt, etc. My parts car has one that looks good from the outside but don't think I'd trust reusing it.

Goodell Fabrications make crossmembers that are model specific. They have the correct mounting on the front for the engine stay which varies on different models. They even do Mercurys. The ones sold by Carpenters you need to use your engine stay bracket and are significantly dearer. I have fitted two of Goodell Fabrications crossmembers and they are superb quality at a reasonable price even factoring in the international postage.

I got one from Goodwell last summer off Ebay and I couldn't have been any happier with it ! It is very well made and fits like a glove ! It's much better made than the original and well worth the $300+ you will pay for one . I highly recommend getting one from them . You won't be disappointed !

Goodell made sure I was happy with my purchase and I was. It even has the drain holes to make it last 50 years longer than the original. :)

I got mine from Goodwell also in Oct-02-07 off Ebay and I could not have found a more quality piece. I was skeptical at first, it sounded like a guy was making them in a shed out back cedarcreektraders??, I called him up and felt somewhat better and at about half the cost of the big guys that look BAD in pictures. It is very well made and fits perfectly. It is better made than the original and very much worth the price. I highly recommend Goodwell.
