I have a 55 Country Sedan that will be needing new tail lights lens, why is there such a price difference? I can buy a new lens on online auction for ten dollars or as high as 35 dollars for scripted Ford lenses at the usual T- Bird vendors.
Are the ten dollar lenses that bad? scripts don't mean that much to me but I don't want orange-red colored lens either (glo-brite?)

Dennis Carpenter sells the best quality lenses for $15 or $20 with Ford script.
The lenses for $10 may be old stock, but if you have doubts go with what is best. Ford Road Parts and Tee-Bird Products will be the same or thereabouts as Carpenter.
    Regards

    Thanks Rick,
I'll check out Carpenters, I have had good luck with them in the past getting rubber parts for the 66 Fairlane I have.

Macs , Obsolete and just about any other Ford supplier of parts for older cars sells them . If you looking on Evilbay for them , make sure you ask where they are made . The dirt cheap ones are coming form china . If you don't care about the quality of them and you are just using the lenses on a driver , then cheap will work just fine .
Now if you want to show your car or you are building the wagon back to original factory specs , then buy the better quality FoMoCo script lenses .
It really all comes down to what you want to use them for and what you can afford . Not all of the lenses are equal quality !
