I am checking out a buick with a nailhead in it...how much are parts for nail heads? Are they super expensive to work on? What is all the hype with the Nailheads? Would $700 be a fair price for a 55 buick...not sure on the model.

Please do not run a nailhead just for the sake of the rest of them.

    Parts are expensive.

Not hemi expensive, but still expensive.

If you're used to running 327's & 350's, the performance gain per dollar spent is miniscule enough to make a grown man cry. .

They're still one of my favorite motors though.

But to keep things in the proper perspective, I am retarded.

More and more parts are becoming available. 700 Bucks sounds like a deal to me 55 buicks are sweet especialy if its a 2 dr hardtop.

I'd pass on it, if it's a 264" engine (came in the "Special" series only).
    If it's a 322", go for it.

Why should I pass if it the smaller size motor? Just because it wouldn't be worth messing with?
