Hey guys and gals! Just read that i need to do an intro here also other than the main board. I just pulled my old 53 ford mainline down from hibernation. I still have a ton of work to do. I have the full NOS quarters mocked in place so far so thats a start. I still have to finish up the roof that i chopped 5 years ago. Also i have to swap out the frame still. I chopped the roof 5.5 inches and did all the work myself and had a dilema about the back window. My brother happened to have a 56 victoria parts car sitting around so i went to work and cut the roof skin and rear window out of it. I think that the roof lines and rear window look very nice and flowing. I have owned this 53 for 20 years and drove it thru highschool. My other 53 mainline is a driver with flathead V8 and 3 speed with over drive out of a econoline van. I painted the roof on it white last year so i have to upload some new photos. Welcome from So Cal. Nice looking cars. You're right, the chopped roof flows really nice. Get to work on that car and get it finished, before you know it your little guy will be wanting to get married in it.
