Copied from my orginal main board intro... Hey folks! Let me start off by saying thanks for allowing me into your home!! My name is Josh and I was born, raised and reside in Nor-Cal. I caught the car bug years ago but unfortunately was barely able to afford to buy the magazines to check out these sweet rides let alone buy one back then (and now days too for the most part) but through friends and family “donations” I have been lucky enough to have a few projects hear and there and would even resort to working on lawnmowers in between just so I could keep my wrench turning. When I got home from work two weeks ago today Bonnie (my lovely Wife) met me at the door with a note telling me happy birthday and that in a few minutes I have a “special surprise showing up” then she handed me a sealed envelope with my buddy’s name on it and on the bottom of the envelope it said “1956 Ford”, I looked up at her and said “honey, I think I’m going to cry” she tells me “you better not, they’re going to be here in about 5 minutes, go open the garage and make room for your car!”… I have wanted this old car for about 2 or 3 years now and haven't been able to afford it. As it turns out, with the help of my bad a$$ family my wonderful wife Bonnie has been planning this awesome surprise for the past month or so and I guess just about everyone else around knew about this and I had no clue!!! I truly feel I am the luckiest guy around…
Welcome to the group from Abbottstown , Pa. I have a few friends in Canada and I even have one I am getting parts for that lives in New Zealand ! Jim

Thanks for the warm welcome folks!!! Love this place!!! I've got sooo many questions, I don't even know where to start... From what I've found online we have a 312 with a head code of C2B and a block code of EDB... 312?? I dunno really... What is confusing to me ( doesn't take much to confuse me) this should have a 4bbl but there is a 2 bbl on the thing??? You guys tell me, you're the experts, all I truly know is it runs like a son of a gun!!...haha.. ****** is 3 on the tree and shifts nice and smooth with everything all'n all running nice and tight.. Just wrapping up my first late night with this ol girl, it's 1:21 am West Coast time and I'm about 9 blue moons but for some reason I don't think this will be the last late one with her...
Mummert's site is a great wealth of information. Here's the block information page http://www.ford-y-block.com/Block identification.htm Looks like you have a 292 from the EDB casting. I've never heard of a C2B head. It could be a replacement head of some kind.
Welcome and hello from Nor-Cal, A very nice wagon. I picked up a 56 2 dr fairlane wagon couple of yrs ago, but it is a want-a-be. (It wants to to work on someday). I p*** thru woodland on my way to redding for cool april nites. Take it slow and enjoy rhe ride.
I was thinking an old school travel trailer or an old school boat... I once had a '56 Glaspar that would have looked sick behind this thing...
