If any of you guys were considering buying the '66 Valiant from REJ and didn't....you got screwed! This car is just fucking neat as hell!! I don't think I've gotten this much car for the money since I bought a '65 Impala 327/Pg for $900 (1984). Hmmm...a Pontiac 400 would flip this puppy OVER (unless I find a Hilborn injection unit for a 283).

Here's a couple of pics, and the last pic is of some stuff a fella named Tampa Matt gave me and we swung by and picked up after stopping off at Robert's.

Thanks, guys!!! Made my fucking year.

BTW, wheel chock is an ashtray I made from a trashed 360...sorta worked out in the end for it!

"There was nothing in the rules that required the original engine in the car to be used."

    But I have a 400 Pontiac and a 283 Chiv.

Place I currently work for sold a 354 about a month before I started for

    $200

    FUCK.

Congrats! Looks great to me. I'm surprised we didn't see more of these back in the day - I love Valiants. How 'bout a 440?

Got one you'd trade for a SBC? I've got two roller cams for it!

NO..I've got a 283, but if someone has a Hemi or Wedge to trade for my 283....I'd probably do it.

On the same token, a 400 Pontiac with a TH400 of mine could probably be had for a complete Hilborn MFI unit. I KNOW you have the connection on that shit, Root!

And if you need a Sprintcar type of Rollergirl...er, cam, lemme know. Came with the neato stuff today.

USE THE PONCHO!!!!!!! It would be so nice to see that odd of a match up--and it would make craploads of torque!

    No, you're a misplaced Texan.

Pontiac it will probably most likely pretty much have to be. Flamedaboner and my El Slobo shitbox sorta showed me the mechanical Prince of Peace. And I have one at a buddy's house that I'm picking up tomorrow.

Naw, I left my 440 in my other pants. But I agree that a Poncho motor would be big fun in the Valiant! (I really dig Pontiacs and FlamedAbone sure knows the recipe)

Do the Pontiac ONLY if you want to go fast...

    -Abone.

  20. Is there a straight axel under the front end? Im a huge valiant fan ( i have a '66) But I think you should keep it all mopar. I've got a mild small block in mine and she's pritty quick. What are your plans for it ?

  21. SBC...but a BIG sbc. Save up your sheckles and build a 383 chevy for it. When the guys ask you what engine it has, tell 'em it's got a 383. They'll think it's a mopar motor..........until you pull the front wheels.

until you've had a 440 in a early a body ......it sounds like a good deal ...then you realize how much room ...YOU DON'T HAVE....hahah i remember looking at the ad thinking ....i would love another one.....but bad timing and a little out of the way....now those front spring mounts look a little iffy.....but a easy way to raise the rear....that thats a plus on a early a body ....bolt in spring mounts...happy hackin'......brandon

    cool mike ditty pic.....
