need the 2 front chrome buckets for my running lights on each side of the grille (what are they called?) mine are shot and rusted
Well some people call them all kinds of crazy things but I call them the turn signal / parking light buckets . Now finding some in good driver condition can be tough sometimes . I have been looking for a good one for my 55 Ford for 3 years now . I have been searching for one at the biggest Ford show on the east coast called the Carsile Ford Show . I have also been searching at the Biggest Show on the east coast and most any other place in the USA at the HUGE Hershey AACA show in October . Re chromed ones can be found but are costly . You can have your's re chromed as well but again it's a costly process to have done . That is why you see so many people just painting the buckets . Another great place to look for one is in the Hemmings Motor News . Any good magazine stand should have it . If not you can order a subscription on the internet . If you happen to find a place or someone that has some to sell please keep me in mind ! I need a drivers side bucket . Jim
The guy I got my engine from down near Cleveland had several '55s in his yard, at that time (about 4 years ago) he had several complete '55 grilles hanging in his shop; they appeared to be good and solid driver quality pieces. I don't think he's a HAMBer but I'll try & find his contact info and give him a call. He might be at Hershey in a few weeks too. I will advise hereon if I get in touch with him. BTW, Ford calls them "Body ***embly, Parking Lamp", both sides are same. Ford Part # is B5A-13206-A.
