This is probably a dumb question, but what significance is the door trim under the side windows of 56 victoria ? Like the one in the video of the 56/mustang. I really like it but dont know if its a trim option , canadian model or what.
If you're talking about the piece in this picture that divides the red & white paint under the windows, that is a Mercury trim piece. I don't think it was available on Fords.
Yep thats it . I have seen it on Fords and just saw it on "Check out this 56" thread.(I dont know how to make a link, sorry).
You may be referring to the Canadian made Meteor for 1956. Meteors had unique trim and were only available at Mercury dealers in Canada. The trim often reflected the Mercury trim. Here is a photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24609104@N06/5205343526/
i think that car is still available at fastlane cl***ic cars.seems to me i saw it on their outdoor turntable driving by a few weeks ago.
It was never available on the Fords only the Mercury's, it's a popular custom treatment on '55 and '56 Fords.
