1952-59 Ford Wheel question

So the guy that sold me my 54 customline still has the original wheels for the car. He had different wheels on it when i bought it from him. Anyways point is I don't like the rims that are on the car and I kind of want the original rims instead.

My question is, whats a good dollar amount to offer so I don't get ripped off by this kid? He wants to trade for the wire rims that are on the car but I know the wire wheels are worth a lot more than some stock steel rims. So that ain't happening. I just don't know whats fair.

So is it tires and rims or just the rims?

 

i think the reason i didnt take the car with them in the first place was because the tires were horrible and i wanted to drive it right away so...unless he's put new tires on for some reason it'd be just rims. or rims with useless tires.

the ones he wants to trade back have pretty new tires. theres still blue on the whitewalls

 

so the trade isnt happening
