I just brought my '65 F600 home and started working on it. I know it's not a COE, but figured the COE's are running the same wheels. Wondering if anyone had a good place to buy Hi-way tires and traction tires? Checking with Nebraska tire now, but trying to find a cheaper option if possible.

By the way, the truck will be turned into a ramp truck to move my stuff around with and haul a friends '64 Fairlane Thunderbolt clone to the track.

Howdy, looks like a nice solid truck. you can order new 8.25x20's anywhere but seems you are limited on only a few options especially as far as traction treads are concerned.
my 53 COE MH has 8.25 but its hard to find a really aggresive traction tread anymore and since its 4x4 i needed six tires. I found a really good deal on some used 900x20 aggresive traction treads to swap on hopefully soon.
looks like you should have plenty of room for some 900x20's under there and should only increase ride height by approx 1/2".

check local cl***ifieds, craigslist, farm equipment ads and places? I think my tires came from the s****per types s****ping old trucks and needed to dispose of the tires?

    cheers

gjcat. are the 22.5's. 6 lug or 5 lug wheels? seems like 56 was a transitionary year where some were 5 lug and some were 6. or maybe it was a difference from f500 to f600 ??
5 lug 22.5 wheels are hard to find.

22.5s are a 6 lug. They first appeared in 56 on the Fords. For some reason both of my trucks have 20s. I have seen them on Uhaul trucks from the 60s through the early 80s. A 500 series ford usually had the 5 lug-20" wheels

the 22.5" tubeless wheels did come in a 5 lug 8" circle pattern as well but are very rare today, but im sure is a mute point since im sure your truck is 6 lug being a 65. the 6 lug 22.5's are still being made today,

here is a picture of 22.5" 5 lug wheels I have.

I never paid attn to the 5 lug wheels as I never wanted a C500. According to the 56 dealer manual I have 22.5s were avaiable in 56 F&C series 500s. I have run across 5 lug rims but most are 20" tires.
